Hilton Granite Park

In 2013, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Dallas-based project management group BOKA Powell engaged PPI as an audiovisual consultant for a Hilton Hotel in Granite Park, Texas. PPI reviewed the Hilton Design Standards, the architectural plans for the hotel, and the end-users’ goals and needs to come up with an initial budget report. After presenting the budget report to the project team, outlining budget adjustment options, receiving feedback, revising the report and repeating the process, PPI arrived at a final design. This design was drafted as a full engineering set and handed over to the project team to put out to bid.

Systems included: a hotel-wide distributed audio system with zones and sub-zones, including common spaces, ballrooms, dining areas, pre-function spaces, and outdoor spaces; a hotel-wide video distribution system, with inputs plates dispersed around the hotel that can be routed to any output plate or combination of output plates, also dispersed around the property; two 2×2 ultra-thin bezel video walls at the “tech library;” dual thin-bezel, large format displays mounted behind the bar; and a control system with a touch panel for hotel-wide system control.
