56 Leonard

In early 2017, PPI delivered amenity AV systems for the Herzog & de Meuron designed 56 Leonard. The amenities spaces for this architectural landmark included distributed audio for the gym, lounge, pool, and sundeck, as well as a cinema-quality indoor/outdoor theater.

To provide an uncompromised viewing experience in the theater, without ruining the view of the Manhattan skyline, PPI installed an acoustically-transparent motorized projection screen, in addition to a motorized speaker rigging with Left, Right, and Center speaker channels. The 7.8 surround-sound audio system provides cinema-reference level audio playback, and the Digital Projection 12,000 Lumen 4k Laser projector displays movies with industry-leading quality. A Crestron control system lowers black-out shades, deploys the screen and speaker rig, and activates the projector, so residents of 56 Leonard can enjoy cinema-quality entertainment at the touch of a button.
