The Beatrice
The Beatrice, an established luxury residential building in New York City, hired Presentation Products to design and install an audio system for its rooftop lounge and common areas in 2010. Presentation Products came up with a distributed audio system that allows for independent volume control for each room and independent source and volume control for each group of rooms. All aspects of the system can be controlled by hotel management in one main location.
Flex Mussels
Flex Mussels Restaurant and Flex2, located uptown on 82nd Street and downtown on 13th Street, are two of Manhattan’s finest seafood restaurants. Flex2, on 13th Street and 6th Ave, was a new-build project that required collaboration with a large design team – including architects, interior designers, and lighting consultants. The simple, clean design features a Bose ControlSpace Engineered Sound System with satellite speakers and recessed in-ceiling bass modules which provide consistent levels of audio throughout the space. Volume, Zone, and Source Selection Panels were located behind the bar, and in the server, and hostess areas for convenience. The sources provided for the system were Sonos Internet Radio, a CD changer, Radio tuner, and an iPod dock which can all be played in various sub-zones throughout the space. Acoustical panels were installed on the underside of the soffits and in discreet locations to cut down voice reverberation levels and soften the dining experience.
Ink48
Ink48, a Kimpton Hotel, opened in the Fall of 2009. As the audiovisual consultant and integrator, we worked with the architect, designer, operator, and owner from the conceptual phase through installation and implementation, and continue to provide support. Our systems include Audio Distribution and control throughout the property covering the Reception Areas, Common Areas, Restaurant, Bar, Spa, Fitness Center, Rooftop Lounge, Presidential Suite, and Rooftop Deck.
Eventi Hotel
The Eventi, a Kimpton Property, is a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Manhattan. The Eventi is an experience as much as a destination and the audiovisual system designed by Presentation Products helped to provide the owner, architect, and management team with the foundation they desired. PPI was responsible for the design and integration of audiovisual equipment for five floors of the new-build hotel, including the lobby, screening room, elevators, conference center, ballrooms, spa, fitness center, and outdoor terrace. Each space provided a unique canvas for PPI to integrate custom solutions and design a truly innovative system. The foundation of the audiovisual system is a building-wide Crestron control solution with the main control panel located in the lobby equipment rack. This allows the management team to select sources and control volume throughout the various floors, zones, and subzones of the building.
