Auditoriums

Presentation Products K12 Auditoriums ROOM TYPES

Large spaces such as Auditoriums and Lunchrooms are typically used as a multipurpose venue for plays, concerts, speeches, movies, lectures and learning. These multiuse spaces present a multitude of technical challenges as they need to be carefully designed for many different uses by many different users.

The properly designed audiovisual system must be flexible, tamperproof, and allow for a large variety of computer and video based presentations with audio support for a range of setups; from an individual standing behind a lectern, to a panel of speakers sitting at a table, to an entire class of children of all ages singing or playing musical instruments on stage.

As users and administrators of the system can change from day-to-day, the space must be easy to use while supporting connectivity for microphones, computers, video, lighting controls, shades, projectors, screens and sound from many different locations in the room.

Our designs feature custom wall and floor plates with quick disconnect custom cabling to lockable lecterns that house all the equipment a presenter may need to interact with including computers, VCR’s, DVD’s, Blu-Ray’s , Interactive Podiums and more. Large format 16:9 projection screens, high-definition projectors, voice and program audio as well as analog and digital computer support are among the technologies that must be supported in today’s multiuse spaces.

Computer Labs

Presentation Products K12 Computer Labs ROOM TYPES

Dedicated spaces designed to teach students how to type or use a wide variety of computer applications and hardware platforms present a unique problem for a teacher in controlling the classroom. Old style room designs provide for students typically setup in a large “U” facing the side and rear walls with their backs to the front of the classroom. While this setup allows the instructor to monitor what the students are doing, it does not support a student centered learning environment.

The properly designed audiovisual system will support all teaching styles, allow every student to face the front of the room where they can have eye contact with the teacher and easily view either the instructor’s computer or any other students computer in the room. Our designs feature projection screens with ceiling mounted projectors or interactive whiteboards up to 90” diagonal that allow the teacher to control his/her computer from the front of the room. With the addition of computer lab instruction software, the teacher can control every students PC in the room, divide the students up into groups where they can view each others work and bring any users screen up to the front of the room for viewing by others. Additional room features may include support for video, audio, Podcasting, and speech reinforcement for the hearing impaired.
