Computer Labs
Dedicated spaces designed to teach students how to use a wide variety of computer applications and hardware platforms present a unique problem for a teacher in controlling the classroom. Old style room designs provide for students typically setup in a large “U” facing the side and rear walls with their backs to the front of the classroom. While this setup allows the instructor to monitor what the students are doing, it does not support a student centered learning environment.

Our designs feature projection screens with ceiling mounted projectors or interactive whiteboards up to 90” diagonal that allow the teacher to control his/her computer from the front of the room. With the addition of computer lab instruction software, the teacher can control every students PC in the room, divide the students up into groups where they can view each others work and bring any users screen up to the front of the room for viewing by others. Additional room features may include support for video, audio, podcasting, and speech reinforcement for the hearing impaired.
